Description & Requirements
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for web development, a keen eye for design, and a strong understanding of WordPress’s inner workings. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins, customizing websites, and optimizing them for performance and usability.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new website features and functionality.
- Build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Ensure high performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of WordPress.
- Optimize websites for speed and scalability.
- Collaborate with designers and other developers to create visually appealing and user-friendly websites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and compatibility problems.
- Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and other services with WordPress.
- Conduct regular website maintenance, including updates to plugins, themes, and the WordPress core.
- Follow WordPress coding standards and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in WordPress development.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, including themes, plugins, and widgets.
- Experience in creating and customizing themes and plugins.
- Knowledge of MySQL and database management.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating third-party APIs into WordPress.
- Understanding of website optimization techniques, including SEO and performance improvements.
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with tools like Git, Composer, and Webpack is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug website issues efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Familiarity with WooCommerce and other popular WordPress plugins is a bonus.
- A portfolio showcasing your previous WordPress development projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Beaver Builder.
